Goofy Golf - Panama City Beach

History

Goofy Golf Panama City Beach is located in the City of Panama City Beach in Bay County. It opened in 1959 and was designed and constructed by Lee Koplin.  A trained welder, Koplin first began creating surreal objects on miniature golf courses in the late 1940s when he and his brother built Pee Wee Golf in Guerneville, California. Unlike his earlier creations Koplin’s sculptures became more interactive - and larger - when he designed Goofy Golf at Panama City Beach.

Today

Goofy Golf is located in the heart of the Miracle Strip and boasts two 18-hole miniature golf courses that feature a giant monkey, a Sphinx, a weird alien cyclops, an ostrich, and a dinosaur using another monkey as a yo-yo, just to name a few.

Local Knowledge

There are giant statues that can be climbed for a view and others that you can go inside. The view from the tiki head is amazing! It’s mini golf with a bonus play-land!
